Fundamentals of Nutrient Management Training​
This training course provides participants with a basic overview of knowledge areas covered by the Maryland Nutrient Management Certification Examination. Topics include state nutrient management regulations, nutrient management principles, basic soil science, and soil fertility recommendations. Instructors are university and government experts.

​Various Dates

Nutrient Management Voucher Training​
If you apply nutrients to 10 or more acres of cropland, you are required to attend this free two-hour training once every three years. Classes are offered in fall and winter at locations across the state. If you are certified to write your own nutrient management plan, you are exempt from this training, however, you must take six hours of continuing education credits every three years.

The University of Maryland and other institutions provide excellent nutrient management webinars. Even if you cannot attend a session "live," you might be able to earn CEUs at a later date.
