​2025 Annual Nutrient Management Update
The Maryland Department of Agriculture will host its Annual Nutrient Management Update on December 15, 2025 at MDA's headquarters building in Annapolis **Please note, the December 15 Update is filled and no longer accepting registrations.​​

Attendees will earn 6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) toward their Maryland Nutrient Management certification.

Nutrient Management Voucher Training Schedule
Farmers: Are you up to date on your nutrient voucher training? If you apply nutrients to 10 acres or more, you'll need to complete a 2-hour training course every three years to comply with Maryland's nutrient management requirements. University of Maryland Extension (UME) and MDA offer both in-person and online sessions to make it easy for you.

​Winter Crop Production Meeting Schedule
Farmers: Get the latest research and data to make informed 2026 growing decisions. Crop meetings focusing on agronomy, urban farming, forage, fruit, and vegetable production are now underway. Attendance is free, and meetings will be held in person and virtually. Don't miss the opportunity to earn pesticide recertification and nutrient management credits at these meetings.

​​Maryland Nutrient Management Certification Exam​
The Maryland Nutrient Management Certification Examination will be offered on February 06, 2026. This exam is for farmers and consultants who want to write nutrient management plans for others. There is a $50 non-refundable certification fee, however, government personnel are exempt with a Government Sales and Use Tax Exempt certificate. The test consists of 100 multiple choice questions selected from twelve knowledgeable areas.
