Maryland Organic Advisory Committee

The Maryland Organic Certification Committee serves at the discretion of the Secretary of Agriculture. The Committee makes policy recommendations to the Secretary regarding the operation, regulation and promotion of the organic certification program and the organic industry; and offers recommendations as to how the Department can support and create opportunities for Maryland certified organic producers to market their products. The committee was created in 1992 by Maryland Legislature, Agriculture Article §10-1401 through § 10-1406.
