Economic Impact Study (EIS)2024 by the American Horse Council - Full  Maryland breakout State Report

The findings of the highly-anticipated 2023 Equine Economic Impact Survey have been officially released by the American Horse Council (AHC). The results shed light on the significant and robust contributions of the equine industry to the U.S. economy. The survey offers a comprehensive overview of the economic impact and trends within the equine sector and highlights how it reaches far beyond the pastures and ranch land across the country.​




The Economic Impact of the 2023 Capital Challenge Horse Show on Prince George’s County, MD

  • This is an economic stidy of the, the Capital Challenge Horse Show (CCHS). The CCHS’s
    classes and competitions were schedules over an eleven-day period, August 28th
    through October 9th, with many staff and participants arriving several days in
    advance to prepare for the horse show with others remaining beyond the run-ofthe-
    show thereby extending the show’s presence in Prince George’s County to a
    two-week period.

The Economic Impact of the 2023 Washington International Horse Show on Prince George’s County, MD​

  • This is an economic impact study of the 65th edition of the Washington International Horse Show
    (WIHS) was held at the Show Place Arena at Prince George’s Equestrian Center
    October 23rd – 29h, 2023; competition at the 2023 WIHS spanned seven days and
    three nights.
