Watch for the Maryland Horse Industry Board’s Horse Census in 2024.

The Maryland Horse Census is coming 2024 - Be Counted!

The purpose of the Maryland Horse Census is to identify the number of horses, their distribution throughout the state,

the many breed types, diverse uses, committed acreage, and the agricultural and economic impact of our important industry.

You should sign up to take the Maryland Horse Census because:

The facts on the following/attached infographic help us to answer the questions we are asked most often.

This information is how to show the importance of the Horse Industry, and help our elected officials learn about the industry.

The information is what has helped us to bring events like the Maryland 5 Star and Washington International Horse Show to Maryland.

These numbers reinforce the fact the land used for horse activities stays green, filters the Bay, and is often preserved.

These facts give us a strong voice!

We know horses are important to you, make sure Maryland knows how important you are!

It is time for you to be counted!

This is NOT government oversight, your responses will show Maryland that we count.

We need YOU and your horse community to participate and update these numbers.

Please help us get the census to you and your community.

And most importantly get your voice to the rest of Maryland!
